Samaritan Care Hospice Volunteer
Volunteers Help Volunteer Opportunities
A Samaritan Care Hospice Volunteer is a special and necessary member of our Hospice Team. Samaritan Care Hospice volunteers are compassionate individuals with a profound respect for the specialized needs of patients and families dealing with life-limiting illnesses. These volunteers share their unique strengths and talents to ease the stress associated with navigating through the complex issues surrounding hospice care. While sometimes their work is as simple as sending a birthday card to a grandchild or reading a book, a volunteer’s gift of time completes the circle of care offered through hospice.
At Samaritan Care Hospice, we are seeking caring individuals who understand the importance of affirming life not just by speaking but by doing. As in the story of the Good Samaritan there is an individual choice to be made … a choice to help at a time when it was needed the most.
If you would like to receive more information about becoming a Hospice Volunteer in your area you can complete the Volunteer Opportunities Request Form or you can contact your local Samaritan Care office and ask to speak with the Volunteer Coordinator.
