Eligible for Hospice Care Who is Eligible for Hospice Care?
Hospice care is for people who have a life expectancy of six months or less and have chosen to focus on palliative care, comfort and relief from pain and symptoms.
Diagnoses commonly associated with hospice care are cancer and other end-stage diseases including:
• Cardiovascular disease
• Alzheimer’s disease
• Respiratory disease
• Liver/Renal disease
• AIDS/HIV
• Failure to thrive/debility
• Neurological disease
• Stroke or Coma
No one is denied service because of age, race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, diagnosis, or ability to pay.
